Membership

By becoming a member of the RMS PTA you are supporting our PTA mission to enhance student education through enrichment programs, support our faculty and staff, and build a strong community for our children to learn and grow. Nothing is required of our members and only members receive access to our online directory.

How much is a RMS PTA membership?

• Single Parent Membership - $15.00
• Dual Parent Membership - $25.00
• *Texas PTA Lifetime Membership Honoree - $5.75

*A lifetime membership award is given to a faculty member and parent each year by our PTA. A list of those honored with this award is kept with our PTA and Texas PTA . A lifetime membership can only be used with one PTA each year.     

What portion of my membership fee stays with RMS PTA?

As a PTA it is required that all of our members pay national, state, and local PTA dues. Our organization collects and submits the national and state dues for each of our members. The local portion of our membership fee stays with RMS PTA and helps support our programs. The breakdown of each fee is as follows:  

• National Dues: $2.25
• State Dues: $2.25
• Local Dues: Single Parent $10.50, Dual Parent $16.00

How do I join RMS PTA?

Click on the "Online Forms" tab of the home page (or the button below), fill out the PTA membership form and submit payment online. You will have instant access to our online directory!

If I join, do I have to...?

• Go to meetings?
  No. You are welcome to attend our general meetings, but it is not required.   
  
  
• Volunteer or spend a lot of time at school?
  Nope! Joining the PTA is not the same as volunteering. If you choose to volunteer we would LOVE the help—but volunteering is not required of our PTA members.
